* 1 cup butter, room temperature
* 2 cups sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup sour cream
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 4 teaspoons baking powder
* 4 1/2 cups flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
cream butter and sugar. add eggs and beat well. add sour cream and vanilla. sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. bake at 350 degrees for 14-17 minutes. makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
