Chocolate Cake

Cream:
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
Add:
4 eggs, one at a time
Sift together: and add alternate with :
3 cups cake flour
1 t salt
3 t vanilla
2 T soda
Add and alternate with :
1 cup buttermilk
Mix in:
1 cup boiling water
3 squares chocolate (melted)

Mix all together.
Put into three pans to bake.
Bake 25 minutes @ 350 degrees
