Uncle Rulon's Carmel Corn

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup white corn syrup
3/4 cup water
Cook to a soft ball stage (240 degrees)
Add
1 square butter
2 t vanilla
Add
1 t soda
Mix well. Pour over popped pop corn.
